I had applied on 28/03/14. The online status on VFS site changed to "Processed application is ready for collection from the South Africa Visa Application Centre, New Delhi as on 29/04/2014."

Hey SHIJO, Thanks for the update. That's a great news. But if they will process the permits by may 1st week then what it will take them till last week..
I got the information that permits for January will be released by may 1st week itself.
Thank you Behari for the update. I called the embassy today in the morning,after trying 7 times they picked up. I found out that if we speak with them in Hindi they are much comfortable and are willing to open their mouths. Likewise,I spoke with the staff in Hindi,he told that Jan applications of permits will be processed in May 1 st week and to enquire by May last week,it would be ready atleast some 2 or 3 days after the May last week.. he told the reason was due to the unavailability of consular and now their system has crashed,so they are issuing visa and permits manually which would again consume time
I will update when we get our visas
Also the proof pudding wil be in eating.So let us hope my information is accurate.This will be proved if Jan applicants like Shiju, Sunny, Tikky get their permits
Hello all.I had been to High commission last week.They have cleared visas till 28 Mar as of 25 Apr evening 1600 hrs.The systems are down and they issuing manually.They are working full steam, which I saw mydelf.Regarding permits, they have not started processing this.Permit applications are pening since Jan 2014.They hope to clear Jan 2014 permit applications end of May 2014.Feb and Mar application for permit may be cleared by Jun 2014.However we shoudl hope for no further unforseen mishaps in this time....Hope my communication is clear..
