SHIT HAPPENS...!!!!
If your dates of travel are in this week, don't bother waiting as they are in a complete mess, be it Delhi OR Mumbai. My flight was yesterday and applications were submitted on 25th March (at New Delhi since Mumbai had a huge backlog & they suggested me to send to New Delhi). Since 10 days I have been sending reminders & letters to expedite with my flight date in bold, but no reply. Finally had no option but to cut my losses & cancel the trip. This country doesn't deserve tourists.

I applied for my moms visa on 10 March and received it today. So in my case it was late but did get before 10 days of her travel. I only emailed to the visa officers twice on wiidd@dirco.gov.za; mashabat@dirco.gov.za . Just be aware to plan atleast 40 days before travel to SA.
its really crazy..applied for tourist visa on 3rd March 2014, still the status is 'under process'. sent several emails, email to the visa officer as well as but still no respite. guys, if you are considering going to South Africa for tourist purpose, please think thrice ..change your destination as they are in no mood to issue us a visa.

Looking at all the posts here, I m extremely worried about my visa. I need a favor from you and actually not just u, from everyone else who have posted here. As soon as anyone of u get their visa, please update here. So that I can get an idea if I'm gona get my visa or not, and if yes, then how many days should I consider to be the waiting period.

i have applied for a transit visa to South Africa on the 07th of April.
My dates of travel are fixed and confirmed to Botswana on South African airways on April 24th for a non refundable non cancellable safari.
I request you to please EXPIDITE the process and grant me the relevant visa URGENTLY.

I would like to inform you that if you want your Visa early,kindly male a Expedition request to VFS.and mail a copy to wiidd@dirco.gov.za..Thats the only way to expedite the process..Posting ur requests here wont help you.And I request to all those who have got their Visas to put their experiences so that others can be benefitted.

Applied on April 1st with all the documents. I have volunteered for a week long program and I have paid up the amount for registration and travel.
Pls process and help with this so that I can travel.
I am trying to submit the application by myself but I am not at all happy with the behavior of the people working in the office. As they want the PCC from the country where I lived more than 1 year but I visited the Saudi Embassey they are not giving any PCC. Now the people want that they should give this in writing that they are not issuing PCC, I don't know how I can get this from the Saudi Embassey.
