Hi, I'm looking for South Africans who are over in the Philippines at the moment. I'm a reporter and would like to get in touch - please send your contact details to kieran.legg@inl.co.za
I haven't heard of my son since Wednesday when he fled for his life from the typhoon. his name is Jaco Visser and fled with Ihvy Visser to the place called Mindanoa. How will I be able to get information of their safety?
I can confirm what other people have already said: the embassy keeps coming up with new requirements every time we try to submit a visa application. So far I have also not been able to get a response out of them via email. Being treated this way by my own government is bad enough but I am quite frankly embarrassed by their attitude towards foreign visitors.
The South African embassy in Manila must the the worst in the world. It seems they do not want any people from the Philippines to visit South Africa. They keep on changing the requirements and if there is no obstacle they will create one.
We went to SA embassy in manila with my South African husband, and to our surprise, my husband was not allowed to go in knowing he is a citizen? How can an embassy have this kind of policy? What if in case of emergency? My husband cant ask for an asylum from them? For what i know all citizen from diffirent embassy has the right to get access from which country they came from. Like in Saudi embassy, saudi citizen has the only right to get inside for what ever reason they have. Another thing, please try to evaluate the one who pick ups call from the hotline, she is as rude as a uneducated woman. She is a disgrace in the embassy.
I travel a great deal and often invite friends I meet to visit me in Cape Town. The way they are treated at the foreign SA Embassies is disgraceful.
You embassy staff represent all South Africans - Wake up!!
