Requirements to Obtain Tourist Visa in South Africa
1. A valid passport;
2. Two (2) passport size photographs;
3. A fully completed Visa Application Form (BI-84)
4. Provisional Airline Booking( only pay ticket after the confirmation is received that the visa will be issued)
5. Proof of accommodation (hotel booking/address of SA contact);
6. Visa fee of Php 2,525.00 for 30 days. No Visa fee for a visit less than 28 days;
7. Proof of sufficient funds e.g. 3 months current bank statement (original/certified copy) ;
8. Employment Certificate (Must be on the company letterhead & with salary breakdown). If self employed, provide business details;
9. Statement and /or documentation confirming the purpose and duration of visit;
10. If coming from or travelling through a yellow fever area prior to arrival to South Africa, a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required;
11. Photocopy of passport (bio-data page)
12. Photocopy of host passport and proof of billing
13. Letter of Guarantee from the local company that applicant will return to Manila after the business trip
14. Unabridged birth certificate ( for South African minor children)
15. Affidavit of consent from parents for minors
16. CENOMAR( Certificate of no marriage)
17. NSO original birth certificate ( minor Filipino children) and marriage certificate
18. Letter indicating if any payment/remuneration is to be received for attending a conference

REMINDERS:
• INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESS
• THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS WILL BE REQUESTED;
• FOR THE SPOUSAL/FIANCEE APPLICATION, A GUIDANCE AND COUNSELLING CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY THE COMMISSION OF FILIPINOS ABROAD MUST BE ATTACHED.
• VISA PROCESSING TAKES APPROXIMATELY 5 WORKING DAYS. IT MAY TAKE LONGER WHEN AN APPLICATION IS REFERRED TO SOUTH AFRICA OR ANOTHER MISSION FOR VERIFICATION AND DURING PEAK SEASON.
• CONSULAR HOURS: 9:00AM TO 12:00 NOON – MONDAY TO THURSDAY
PICK-UP HOURS: 1:30PM TO 3:30PM - MONDAY TO THURSDAY
CIVIC SERVICES: 9:00AM-11:45:00 NOON – MONDAY-FRIDAY

STILL
I'm amazed... NOTHING has changed at all??? even after almost a year I can still read comments about the unprofessionalism of these people in the embassy.. there's STILL a lot of South Africans, foreigners and filipinos complaining about them! complaining about the same thing! IF the embassy is doing really great for you to keep Leila and the rest of the rude staff, WHY ON EARTH there's still people complaining about their experience in the embassy??? WHY can't anyone do something about this??? South Africa, you're losing tourists and FACE coz of this people you employed.. wake up!

do I qualify for any medical renumeration
I am a south african born and bred on a tourist visa married to a filipino. I have had an accident requirering complete hip replacement, do I qualify for any renumeration towards my medical expenses from my government. What must I do now or what should I bring? Red ribbon
Please advise me i staying Maseru Lesotho and when i apply a visitor visa last April 2014 i pay bond in south African embassy here in Lesotho. when i want to get my bond we need to go and take the bond in Philippines but i still working here in Lesotho so please advise me if i can send my father to go and take the bond together my authorization letter.
