Processing Times
I agree with you people.Something is not right regarding the processing times of work visas.

In January,I called both the SA Embassy and the VFS offices. They both explained to me that they will be clearing off work visa applications after they had processed a bulk of the student visas.

Now that most of the student visas are done and varsities and schools open, there hasn't been much of a difference, considering people who applied Jan/Dec havent received their work visas.

Lets see if we can hear anything after the holidays.

Police Clearance
@Reggie

Yo will need a police clearance from SA if you once staid in SA for more than 6 months on another temporary residence permit/visa.

For example,I had to submit both Zim and SA police clearance because I once studied in SA and I had a 4 year study visa.

Passport
Applicants, even suspected criminals who are out on bail do not wait for all these months after surrendering their passports without their case being heard.

No No....The time for action is NOW

vfs not making follow ups just interested in the $75
VFS looks like its concerned with the $75 we pay only nothing else they are not in the picture of wat is happening at the embassy wy yet they act like a go between if they are any challenges they should be in a position to explain to applicants, why is it same visa type same month smone gets respond a month after the other yet there were only 2 days difference when they applied.Vfs always tell you we dont even know when to expect your passport back .WHY WHY

passports
They should return people's passports pliz,if for any reson they fail to complete the visa processing within 8 weeks at least they should return passports and continue with whatever
they will be processing 4 months without your passport you cant do business or what ,no that is not fair.

OUR STORY MUST BE HEARD!
I suggest the author of that well articulated email should contact Nkepile Mabuse, that excellent journalist from Checkpoint. Many people watch that programme, she is sterling at her job and our story is bound to get heard and measures taken.
The email address is checkpoint@enca.com
