Last year those that applied between june-sept got thier outcomes in stipulated 6-8weeks.If you still to apply this is the time to do so avoid end of year or early in the year
When about did you apply in Jan? And which fields are u in?
@Bonzo
Thankx a lot for your msg. It gave me lil hope. Will go there first thing Monday morning!
Hoping for the best
I also applied in Jan and received the same email @Ngoda received late afternoon yesterday. There query was that I needed to attach a contract of employment and not just the offer letter as I had assumed. I will be handing in the contract first thing Monday morning as I was advised to do so before 8h30 to try get everything finalised promptly.
I hope this helps. Will update when I receive feedback.
I for one, as a Jan applicant,am happy to hear of your feedback.. you are the first to mention that you have received feedback on the Jan application.. This a positivd for every1.. sign of progress..
Yes...already that is the case...there is a preference for some1 who studied in SA than in Zim. Some1 who studied in Zim has to jump through extra hoops..for example the SAQA thing... that is one extra hoop.. you might hold an honours degree in Zim but SAQA might not issue an SA honours equivalent...already you see some pple are left behind there.....
To what degree the preference its neither here nor their but it does exist..
What it simply mean is that they might need additional documents to clarify something.. i would look at it in a positive light because they could have outright denied ur application... i dont know what you will find on Monday but i think u have a good chance u will get ur visa
@Ngoda
It means that your visa application has been processed and the passport is at VFS.
You can go collect you passport
How does that article cause delay I do not get the relevence.
I applied in Jan and I received this email from VFS late yesterday. What does it mean?
"We have received your Visa application back from the South African Embassy with a query. Please visit the VFS Global Harare office between 08:00 - 16:00 (Mon - Fri)."
Will go on Monday and update everyone
