Comments on this Consulate-General
Dear sir, could u please give me a email address of the Portuguese embassy, where I can apply for a portuguese passport . What r the procedure to obtain a Portuguese passport
I just read all your messages and I am freaking out. The last time i went ot the Portuguese Consulate was 22 years ago and it was exactly as all of you had described ! It has put me off ever returning to register the birth of my children, now i find myself in the predicament that i need to apply for a Passport for my son who is going to play soccer in Portugal and im freaking out!!! The service and lack of help was soooo bad then, Can it be that 22 years later, and they still lack in progress? Not happy !!
Efficient, friendly & fantastic service from the staff!
Thank you
Hi
Can I get a phone number for the embassy in Sydney.
The below details are not correct.
Phone local: (02) 9262.2199
international: +61.2.9262.2199
Fax local: (02) 9262.5991
international: +61.2.9262.5991
They are not helpfull, they just don't answer your questions. Ended up with me having to go trhough to Portugal CRC in Funchal to get an answer.
They emailed me that I can get the documentation from the Portuguese Consulate in Sydney, however the Consulate in Sydney does not answer my emails or telephone messages it is absolutely disgusting.
I thought their purpose is to help Portuguese Citizens with their queries
Please don't say that you're embarrassed to be Portuguese!
At the end of the day, these guys are public servants - employed by the Portuguese government.
Have you seen the Australian public servants???? They are no better - it is a characteristic of being a government employee!
Read previous post and their true to their form.
These barbarians remind me of Asterix and his friends although with less wisdom. Salazar once said 'Proudly alone'... I think that's why no one answers the phone at the consulate. Everybody is too busy blaming each other for what happened in last night's TV soap opera.
Competency, professionalism and integrity are in high demand. In the meanwhile I will keep trying to get to talk to someone.
PS. Grateful! no longer this kind of Portuguese in me
In the last month I have left 8 phone messages, emailed several times without anyone getting back to me. Today I find in the mail, a "Return to sender" letter sent to the consulate as the address on the website is incorrect!
I am embarrassed to call myself Portuguese. This office is run by monkeys! Its hard enough with their office hours from 9 - 12:30PM!
Its not surprise why the country isn't doing well!
Why can't you guys get your act together????? I tried calling again today, answering machine. All I wanted was the correct address to send my 86 year old mothers declaration they need for her pension.g???
What the hell are you guys doin
unbelievable! u call they dont answer, they ask to leave a message ,they dont respond, they say to email , they dont respond!!! got an urgent update to do on my passport and theres no way i can get in!!! wake up!!! go back to work and stop with the siestas and coffee!!!!lazy man
i will make an complain about them...
