my husband has a mauritian passport does he require a visa to portugal. Our marriage is registerd at the consulate.

My husband is Portuguese, i AM South African. We got married in South AFRICA and the process to register our marriage in Portugal was quite simple. once we received our marriage certificate from the SA HOME affairs, we went to the portuguse consulate and they registered our marriage and forwarded it to Portugal. So we are registered both in SA and POrtugal. We are now living in Portugal, no problem. My son was born in South Africa and has since been registered in Portugal as well. We paid money for it, but it was done with no hassles. I hope this helps. Go to your nearest Portuguese COnsulate, dont phone them.

as a portuguese, i am utterly dissapointed with our consulate, starting with the way they treat the people and how they try to help!!!my wife and i are both portuguese citizens, we are desperatly trying to register our child. my question is , whyd we need to register our marriage in Portugal?? could some one please tell me why? if somebody has the consule generals details, please forward.
If my fiance who is south african and I get married here in Portugal, what would protocol be on obtaining citizen chip for him etc?
My grandfather was born in portugal and wanted to apply for a Portuguese passport was told if he is alive , which he is now deceased was told then I do not qualify , what else can I do ...
