Can anybody tell me that after getting the citizen card how long to time get could be take to get appointment for pasdport
From what I could research on this, it looks like a valid means to obtain the Cartao de Cidado (Citizen Card). You could visit the Consulate General of Portugal in Panjim and request for it. I found out that the application can be made there. It's a bit risky, but it seems valid and you could give it a try and get full confirmation from the Consul general. Otherwise there's always the option of applying in Lisbon. You may save some money by applying in Panjim, I might add.
Tudo de bom para você.
You'd have to consult with a barrister for this issue as I'm not qualified enough to deal with that legal matter. Not only that but another common issue faced by women is when it comes to renewing their Portuguese passport after five years. Due to their maiden name rather than their married name being used in the passport, it results in a quandary. I can suggest Emerico/ Elvino Pereira if you're in Goa. Here's their website link: http://goanportuguesepassport.com/
If you're in Portugal or the UK, you can contact their partner: https://www.npadvogados.com/
(This is not a paid ad. as the endorsement of the above individuals is based solely on my experience with Mr. Emerico and his partners.)
Not a problem John. De nada.
Hi ,I have recvd my Portuguese passport with my maiden name n my Indian passport has my married surname.what documents I will have to submit for police verification as proof to show that it is the same person. Pls advise
My apologies for the multiple postings. For some strange reason the web-site wouldn’t let me post my full response, therefore I had to break it down into multiple small postings.
Com os melhores cumprimentos,
John
