Reply to the question of Sathiya.
Miss/Madam, You asked how to know about the list of french citizens at Pondicherry,
Your question is serious in nature. It is also a confidential matter and you have no locus standi to apply for the same, However the concerned person may write to the Ministry of Population in France to know whether his name is found in the list of persons who opted to conserve the french nationality in CGF at Pondicherry. Yours sincerely,

Reply to his question how his parents to apply for CNF Regardng
Sir,
your father and mother have to study their position with regard to the franco- indian treaty of cession 1956 which came into force on 16.8.1962.
On this date, your father born at karikal in 1940 was above 18 years. If he was a french citizen by parental filiation, he should have personally opted in CGF at Pondicherry to conserve his french nationality, otherwise he would become Indian'
Concerning your mother, she was a minor aged 11 years ie, below 18 years on 16.8.1962. If her father was a french citizen, he should have opted for him in person and included your mother's name in his application for option to conserve french nationality in the CGF at Pondicherry. Now, the (French supreme court) in their decision (arret) held that the non inclusion of a minor child's name by his/her french father will not deprive the child of the french nationality of her father by option, I am at your disposal for more details. Yours sincerely,
sathiya

Pradeep Kumar- Reply to his question of Fr, nationality
Sir,
You are just 18 years old. So you were not born in French India, In your case, to apply for CNF, one of your parents should be a french national at the time of your birth. Yours sincerely,
