pcc in uk
I'm a uk resident working in Canada at the minute and I'm applying for my permanent residence. I need a police clearance certificate from England as my one is a few years old. I've heard if I contact the embassy in Toronto they can do this a lot quicker than if I was to contact the police in the uk. Is this the case? Can anyone there please advise further?

Is a U.S. citizen eligible to work long term in the United Kingdom?
I am a U.S. citizen and permanent resident of Canada living in Toronto. However, I an interested in knowing if as a U.S. citizen I am eligible to work long term in the United Kingdom. I am between jobs and interested in working for a non-profit in the U.K.

Thank you
