You need to make renewing a passport in Canada easier
My passport has expired I need a new one within 2 weeks

Hi,
I am a Canadian Permanent Resident but holding Indian Passport. I've booked a flight from Vancouver (Canada) to Mumbai (India) via London (Heathrow). I have 2:15 hours layover at Heathrow before getting connecting flight for Mumbai. In that case do I need to apply any kind of visa for just have to board into a connecting flight.
A friend (a Canadian citizen, born here) was denied entry to the UK by an Immigration agent because he believed she was coming to do volunteer work for which a visa is required. If she applies for such a visa will she be able to enter within this year or is there some rule that says her visa will not be granted until a year is up?
