Ms
Dear Sir/Madame,
I am due to travel to the UK on Sunday 17/7/2016. Unfortunately I've just realised that my passport has expired. As a member of the EE, Cypriot citizens as well as all other citizens of EE state members, do not have a problem in travelling using their Identity Card (ID) as an official travelling document instead of a passport, within the EE zone. However, with this
'Brexit' new situation now, do I need a passport/a visa to travel to the UK or is it still OK to use my 'ID'? I have no time to apply and get a valid passport before the end of this week (Friday 15/7/2016).
Please clarify the official British High Commission's policy on the above as soon as possible.
Thanking you, waiting for a prompted reply to my email: poly.votsi@gmail.com
