Canton Fair
I would like to work as a translator for the Canton Fair. I carry a British Passport, and was just wondering what kind of procedures I have to work on and go through in order to become a translator. Thanks.

Visitor visa delay
I am a 50 year old lady teacher. I am on an Indian passport.I have applied for a visitor visa on the 31st of May with VFS Global visa service in Guangzhou. I have travelled to the UK and had complied with all the rules of the UK on my visit back then.Assuming I'd get my visa within 5 days, I booked my flights to attend a conference in Urumqi, China on the 24th of June.I am now so worried, as the delay is causing me anxiety, as I might need to cancel the arrangements made for my travel to Urumqi.I am a lecturer at a University and have to travel overnight to reach GZ. So, I need my the happy news of my getting my UK visa latest by the 22nd of June. Please tell me wha I should do? Whom could I meet to present my case. I'm told everyone is very helpful and things really move if I ask for help at your office. I had a wonderful experience the last time I travelled. I had got my visa within 5 days the last time I went to London. I need a well deserved holiday after a long, hectic semester. Ilook forward to your assistance and hearing a good news about the visa for me. Thank you, and blessings, Chanchal
PS- I'm all booked and ready with flight and hotel bookings for the UK for the 3rd of July. Please, please help me. I'm truly worried.

Effective Guangzhou British Consulate
I had my British passport stolen in Shenzhen. It was a busy post holiday working day. The local staff at the Guangzhou British Consulate were helpful, providing complete, accurate information and advice in one phone call. The services provided by Careline is pitifully useless. Hard to understand how British Citizens can accept the services of Careline. Payment is also required for requesting information on lost passports. This outsourcing to Careline is ridiculous.
