You are claiming that VFS gave you some info...
They does not know old rules. How come they are speaking about new rules???
Please have a look at the old posts which proves that VFS knew nothing.
Friends, I am following this site for quiet some time. So thought of letting you know the bitter truth so that you will prepare for the worst.

You can trust VFS. But VFS just provides logistics support. There is no point in considering VFS at all. They are 0 when it comes to effecting your visa. So IGNORE VFS.
Finally what Mr. Joseph told in the below post is 100% TRUE. That is going to happen. You all just wait and see.
This is very depressing. After waiting and still waiting for more than 5 months application will get rejected!
Even in 2014 major immigration rules were implemented but still old application were treated as per the old rule.
Maybe one thing can happen is indian consulates will reject the application wrongly and ask you to apply as per new rule. This way they adjudicated the application as per old rule and also compel people to apply under new ones.
The link you provided is true however it is mainly targeted towards refugees from neighboring African nations.
Understand one thing. So far things are -ve. 90 -ve. 10+ve. Even I cant decide these percentages. But it is like
Dino, One thing is sure. Even current applications will be rejected to a greater extent. This is what I heard.

I spoke to VFS and they say new rules might be kicking in sometime soon but it DOES NOT affect the applications already submitted. Please be careful with what you post here as it is very easy to mislead people with such sensitive information just by taking the word of an agent.
