Hello Mamtha,
8 woring days are not sufficient as conculate has a weeks backlog. You must call up consulate to check the status. I am flying in second week of Septemeber and I applied on 8th keeping 22 working days. Even Travel agent advised minimum 15 working days.
I applied for a visit visa on the 4th of Aug & was suppose to fly on the 17th and I have missed my flight as my visa is still under process. VFS staff gave me wrong information saying that my visa will be ready in 5 working days. Kindly update me as to how long will it take so I can rebook my ticket.

Just now spoke to consulate and per them they are clearing application as of 30-31st July. Hope this helps
I have applied my work permit on 26th may 2014 it has co mpleted more than 80 days, every time when i cal them they are telling not yet done, Can some one who applied work permit tel me their experience and how long it will take.

I spoke to one of the female officer in consulate and she said that there is some backlog. am not sure what time will it take but she gave me approximate time of 7-10 days. I applied on 8th Aug, flying on 10th Sept . Have you guys applied for tourism purpose?
We have applied for our visa more than 15 days back. We are twenty people traveling, and our flight is on 15th morning. We request you to issue our visas soon.
Has any one recently applied for south african visa and can some one tell me exact processing time. I know there was some issue in Apr & May. Is it still there?
