Visiting spouse and kids in South africa for a limited restricted time frame
On the 29th December I applied to the VFS office in Delhi for a visa to visit my family and relatives who are residing in Durban, South Africa. My application was rejected.
My wife(who is a south African citizen-Id No 7606290204087) and kids were residing in India for the last 13 yrs and have only recently settled back in Durban, South Africa. We were married and registered by the DHA in Durban in 1999.
Over the past 20 years, I have been travelling to and fro from India to South Africa with- visiting family visa issued by your honourable consulate(visa proof in my passport). We are requesting your esteemed consulate to kindly issue me with a restricted 1 month visa to visit my family in Durban. I will provide you with my fixed, confirmed ticket dates, so that I am bound by your stipulated timeframe. Since this was a short, urgent family visit, I applied for a normal visiting family visa and had full intention, when time permitted to apply for a relative spouse visa from your high commission , once I returned to India after a month.
We have been married for the past 16 years and we were keen on celebrating our anniversary together on the 23rd January. My kids were also very eager on seeing me, as I was last in South Africa 2,5 months ago-as would be evident in my stamped visas. I have no intention to overstay and will surely do the needful and apply for a relative spousal visa with full documentation, once I return.
Ms. Tersia Hanekom, Director the department of Home Affairs (Ethekwini region)has personally met us and is aware regarding our situation and intention. She has in the past , has also assisted us with a motivation letter.
I do hope you understand our predicament and grant us this short term visit ,so that I may visit my family and return to do the needful, as per your time stipulation.
I thank you and have full faith that you would help us in granting us this short term visa.
Thanking you
If you require any further documentation, please feel free to relay.

Rejection of Tourist Visa
Hi,

I had applied for S.A tourist Visa alongwith my spouse. though it was through a tour operator. On the date of the departure, rather 6 hours prior to the departure, I was informed by the tour operator that the embassy has rejected the Visa. Do you give out the reasons for the rejection? As I sense some mischief from the end of the operator.
