VISA ISSUEING AND STAFF COMPLAIN
I am very saddened when we were told our we could not go to SA due to some issues which we have given them to process the visa. first they said our bank statmennts were not fixed to process so we emailed it again. when we arrived at the embassy the staff Liela told us she has not received it as of yet, another effort in going and printing it out.we are situated in Issabela which is very far, expenses and hotel money ,food, and travel.at the end it was denied. and our reason in going there was not valid.we wanted to see my grandma who is very ill due to cancer that has spread in her whole body but this woman working there has no heart.and no way of treating people.her face is always dull.I think its time for a change that you put someone better there.

Visa issuring and staff Complaint
This complaint goes back to July 2016, I am reapplying for another visa for my wife and hope that this does not happen again

I just want to capture some of the things that went terribly wrong in obtaining these visas.

MR Slabber and Sekiwa, thank you for sorting the visa issue out for me today. This was a email that was suppose to be sent to you a while back but your email system kept kicking back as undelivered. Although your email system was down there were other means of communication that this issue could of been handled as this led to a lot of time, money and frustration from my side.

I would like to query on what the problem was with my wife MRS Lilibeth Boulle and her brother MR. Alex Taac-Taac in obtaining their tourist visa and why it took so long as everything was submitted on the 13th June 2016.

I have spent quite a bit of funds for them to obtain this visa as her and her brother had to travel from Cebu to Manila for the process. That is flights, taxi and the day expenditure for breakfast, lunch, and courier services etc.. Total cost around Peso 23,000.00 +- How are we going to support tourism which the country relies on when a simple visitors visa is so difficult to obtain or poor service from the SA Embassy staff members.

When my wife was at the embassy everything seem to be in order excepting for bank statement for the last three months which we sent via carrier services to your office the next day. We did provide a bank statement but it was not for 3 months which is not required as per list of requirements provided on the internet.

A few days later the lady who handled my wife document Miss Leila phoned my wife and asked for her old passport which was not asked whilst my wife was in Manila at the embassy as she had it with her and it is not on the list of requirements for obtaining a visa which I was told to get all the information on the internet as Leila did not want to discuss this requirements in person with my wife whilst she was in the embassy.

We then sent the old passport to Leila to the embassy via courier again which she says she didn't receive. (Extra Cost)

According to the slip of paper given for the pick up of the visa which was this morning the 22June 2016 which is 8 days later My wife cousin was at the embassy since 6.AM in the morning to 2 PM and she was then told that the visa was not ready and no reason given to my wife cousin. If you look at the date of issue on the visa it was ready on the 22nd but your staff said it wasn't ready

My wife has been to South Africa several times and even lived there for one year and even had 2 spousal visa from South Africa each valid for 2 years. Beside this, it is my spouse that we are talking about and me being a permanent residence since 1957 have a right to take my wife to visit South Africa providing that she meets all the requirements which she does, so why so long for her process to obtain this visa as all information is available on your system.

The lady who was handling all this Leila said she did not receive our document but the courier services sms shows that she received it as her name is on the receipt, by the way this is a few days later. Not once has your office contacted us to update us with information and when we tried to contact them they just keep telling us to phone back but most of the time nobody answers the phone.

Apparently my wife visa is now approved but still waiting for her brothers visa which is now 18 days and time is running out as I still have to get the visa down from Manila to Cebu.

On Thursday the 30th June we spent a lot on cell phone calls as you pay for even whilst the phone is dialing and no one answers. When they do answer they put you through to whoever and eventually the phone cuts off and does not return you to the person who tried putting you through.

My emails also have not been answered. Later I managed to get through on the phone and wanted to speak to you MR. Slabber but was told that you had left already. I asked for the next in charge but never had the opportunity to speak as I was cut off. The email address that Sheila gave us just keeps bouncing back as unknown.

The staff at the embassy did not want to communicate with my wife cousin regarding any issues as they said the passport did not belong to her. They only entertain the passport holder in answering questions but Leila did not want to communicate with my wife as she said don't speak just listen.

Please have a word with your staff as it seems that they are not on the ball at all or purposely messing people around or don't know what's going on in the embassy as far as requirements and procedures. Leila is also not very friendly with the public and we deserve better service and treatment than what we have experienced in the last couple of weeks from the SA embassy.

I would appreciate some feed back from you on how this issue was addressed.

I then managed to speak to you on the phone and things were sorted out
Best regards
David

Are there still complaints about the SA Embassy in Manila?
Recently I was married in Cebu and my wife will apply for a Visa after getting her passport. Ive heard of and read of a number of complaints against a "Certain" Staff member and the Guard. Is this still happening? Who is the better person to help one there,if we can ask for a particular Staff member?
