Qatar embassy - family visit visa
To Ms. Rombae Guro:

Thank you for providing a very clear information to our kababayans. Please enlighten me on the following:
1. Who will issue or from where to get the invitation letter, if I am the sponsor of my wife + 2 kids on family visit visa to Qatar.

2. The DHL fee of P2,550 is per head (or as in my case), wife + 2 kids, does that mean 3x 2,550?

Than you

Qatar Police Clearance
Its more or less 5 months now that I've applied for Police Clearance for Qatar in their Embassy here in the Philippines that I need for our family application in Canada.

Can anybody please provide info if how long did any of you waited for your Police Clearance from Qatar Embassy here in the Philippines?

Any information will be deeply appreciated.

Hi to all,

Just spoken to one of the immigration personnel regarding the issue of Affidavit of support DFA authentication.

It was confirmed from the BI Travel Control Enforcement Unit at 879-6085, that the Affidavit of Support authenticated from the Philippine Embassy of Qatar is not required to be Red Ribboned at DFA Manila.

When travelling on a family visit visa, you need the following documents.

1. Affidavit of Support authenticated from the Philippine Embassy in Qatar (Original Copy)
2. Inviation Letter Authenticated from the Philippine Embassy in Qatar (Original Copy)
3. Passport copy of the sponsor
4. If married to the sponsor, marriage contract copy.
5. Visa stamping on passport ( you need to go to DHL courier as they are the authorized courier service of Qatar Embassy in the Philippines. Prepare 2 copies of Visit Visa, 2 copies of 2x2 picture white background, 1 copy of your passport (front & back), your original passport and a fee of 2,550 pesos.
6. Releasing date: 5 to 7 working days, earlier release shall depend on the Qatar Embassy.

I hope these clarrifies the issue.

Regards to all and belated valentines day!!!!!!

medical requirement
my husband sponsored my sister for a visit visa here in qatar, he applied the visa directly from the qatar immigration and he didn't use any agency for the processing. after the visa has been released, he was told to go to the Phil. embassy here in qatar to fill up an affidavit of support.. We were told at the Phil. embassy that my sister now can travel as soon as she received her orig. visa and other docs. However, I have heard that if it is the agency who process your visa, then u must send your docs. to the qatar embassy to the Phils for stamping. So I asked my sister to inquire on the matter if it is applicable also to those who have a direct sponsorship( a family and to my shock, she was even asked to undergo a medical exam as a pre requisite for stamping. I don't understand why a visit visa holder should go for a medical exam in the Phils. since I myself didn't do that here in qatar when I applied for a resident visa, just blood typing and x-ray. What is the reason for this medical exam requirement?

A Valid Visa on a Cancelled Passport
My passport with my working visa accidentally got wet and ruined the passport and my visa. I was issued a new Philippine passport. Can I have my visa duplicated and stamped in my cancelled passport to match my old passport number, considering that my working visa is still valid, then attach the old passport with my valid visa to the new passport?
