Hey guys just to let u knowv I have applied directly for my bi and passport, received wzin two days, goa consulate gave me tough times finally decided to do in lisbon directly
Normally the appointment takes 2-3 weeks for them to respond and then you get the appointment 1 month from that day of the reply. Since Dec-Jan is Winter holidays there will be delays in the process (mostly for BI rather than passports as the BI are processed in Portugal and takes time).
But the consulate in goa has similar holidays like portugal so during christmas to new year there is alot of holidays plus yearly staff vacation which people can take for 30 days (as per portuguese labour law)
