As I’ve mentioned before it’s America’s obligation to ensure the Good Friday agreement isn’t violated, that’s what being a guarantor means.

Without free movement in Northern Ireland there’d be a hard Irish border which violates the Good Friday Agreement. The only other choice the UK has is to have a border in the Irish Sea. This would mean a de facto border inside Britain itself.

Biden has already said he won’t allow the Good Friday agreement to become a casualty of Brexit.

If you want historical perspective look up the Suez crisis. America forced Britain into a humiliating climbdown. This is why most Brexit backing politicians are desperate for a Trump victory. A Biden victory would mean the end of a hard Brexit.

Yes to a certain extent what you have said is true but free movement will end irrespective of whether Biden or Trump comes to power as the conservative government are adamant to take back control of our borders money and laws.
Biden or trump will not interfere with this as it is a very sensitive matter and is the basis Brexit.

You don’t seem to know much about Britain’s foreign policy. America basically dictates Britain’s foreign policy.

Ending free movement in Northern Ireland means a hard Irish border. The US is a guarantor of the Good Friday agreement, but under Trump they’re less likely to care about the issue. Biden, who is Irish American himself, is much more likely to step in and prevent a hard border.

Under US pressure Britain always caves.
