It means that very soon the Conservatory of Lisbon will create your new birth record in portugal. It is also called Assento de Nascimento. Once you get this Assento, you can then apply for BI appointment.
What happens to those people who don't have a ration card or voter card?
My agent said that my birth verification is completed and now it is queued for registration.

First you surrender your Indian Passport at the RPO passport office.Take your assento, along with BI, Portuguese passport and Indian passport.

You have to just cancel your voter card and your name on the voter card doesn't have to be same. It is just formality.
After your surrender your Indian passport, then apply for Entry X visa from frro website.
Before issuing the Entry X visa, the frro will ask the local police of your place of residence, to verify your address. Once all formalities are done, only then the frro will issue the entry x visa.
Once you obtain the entry x visa, then apply for OCI online.
My election ID name is different from assento name in Portuguese registration. Does it have to be same because I heard while surrendering Indian passport election ID is not required, so how can they enter election ID name on surrender certificate? Kindly clarify as I am bit confused.

All documents like Aadhar,Indian passport ,BI ,and my Portuguese passport r same but my voter id is not same and eight dec i have given for correction. I will get that in four months.so now wht can i do.i m staying in Mumbai goregaon. So pls can u guide and how to surrender my indian passport. Do i need to take an appointment before going to passport office.
