Hi Shayne & savio,

Yes my parents are living and they have their passports, the problem is I am not in India and the Indian Embassy here is rejecting to change the names of my parents in my PP due to issues with my visa and work permit. To cope up I changed my fathers name in my PAN card as it is in my Birth Cert. and my dads assento. I wanted to clear that if CRC will pass my case.

If you have all their proper documents with correct names then it's possible it's easy if they have a passport it can be corrected easily.

Hi Shayne! if the parents name of the applicant on the passport cannot be changed but he has the correct names on Birth Certificate ( Online ) and PAN card, will the CRC pass the case? or the parents names on Passport has be changed?

Email the CRC and ask them for updates about your registration, if they reply saying it's in process then it's legitimate.

what's more easier solution than asking the brother bu the sister? But she would'nt because of bad relationship. That much is understood. So another easy solution is to let any person with his cartao de cidadao search the portal using his credentials..

The Guys sister should have a photo ID with her deceased dad's name, like PAN Card where dad's name is mentioned. she can make a power of attorney with any agent or lawyer and she can get a copy of her dad's registered assento. in Goa they charge 2500 rupees per copy. Remember: The name of her father in her photo ID should match the name in her dads assento! if not than she cant get the assento. Also in addition she can provide his date of birth etc. to make the search more easier

Denzil, let me explain my doubt.. A guy registers his deceased father's birth and gets the nascimento of his father. Subsequently, he registers his own birth and then gets the cartao to be able to login to the portugal govt website as you have explained. that part is clear. What I want to know is this.. the guy's sister who is also a descendant of the deceased wants to find out if the deceased's name is registered at the CRC.. hence can his sister via her own agent/lawyer contact the CRC independently to find out this confidential info and will the CRC give out this info to her or does she have to contact her brother and/or his lawyer for this info? thats all I wanna know...

Denzil, sorry for flogging this topic to death but I still do not understand one point and would really appreciate if you or Shayne could add to what you've already explained earlier. By this I mean, I want to specifically know if another descendant of the deceased person who's birth is registered can contact the CRC via their own agent to enquire or does this other descendant have to contact the CRC via the original agent who registered the deceased person's birth? Thanks in advance and looking forward to hearing from you
