There is no specific bank balance required when you apply for a schengen visa. Please make sure you have: a return ticket, medical / travel insurance , hotel/ accommodation stay, bank statements (past 3-6 months) which shows salary credit and a letter from your employer mentioning your name , passport number and that you are employed from xx date , position and you traveling for holidays to xx. That’s all!

Birth certificate is issued from Goa municipality but on the front page of the passport, there is a column where it is mentioned place of birth as Mumbai. So in that case, place of birth should be Goa, right? That's why I am a bit worried...
You can registered your birth if your pp is from mumbai but you must have birth certificate from municipal.There is no need to worry as your parents marriage is registered in portugal
Hello everyone. My parents birth & marriage are already registered in Lisbon & now I want to register my birth for passport purpose. My dad is a Goan while my mother is from Mumbai. My birth certificate is from Goa but the place of birth on my Indian passport is Mumbai. I don't have any idea whether my case will be blocked or it would be just fine with this kinda issue. Can somebody here please advise me on this matter? It would be very much appreciated. Thank you

Yes it is necessary to take BI appointment online even for passport application goa to the site consuladoportugalgoa.com/appointment.php and fill in the form and in the Collum document identification put your passport number and attach your assento copy.
