Comments on this Consulate-General
it takes around 25-30 days once your process is analyzed to receive birth seat or Assento de Nascimento
GOT BI APPOINTMENT AFTER 1 MONTH IE 15 JUNE
THEN AFTER WHEN I WILL GET BI CARD AFTER HOW MANY DAYS
How long it takes to get the birth certificate after my birth application ( pre 1961 ) is analyzed by the CRC, Lisbon.
Is it a month or more.
I wholeheartedly concur on the current imbraglio that the BJP Govt has put us Goans in.
Moreover, I also urge our fellow Goans to be extra vigilant with your and your families documents. Even if you share photocopies, self attest the same for the specific purpose you are submitting them.

Dev borem korum!
If its the first case with old documents then it takes 1.5 - 2 years. Only once birth is registered then you van register their marriage. Marriage registration takes 4-6 weeks.
How long does it takes to register my mother's Birth & their marriage to acquire Portuguese citizenship, my papers are in Delhi consulate and should be on its way to Goa in a weeks time. What's are the future guidelines I should follow and its process. My Advocates says it is taking little more time then how it was before. It has been two months that I have put my papers. Can anyone tell me how much will it take for the whole process ?
Thank you :)
Once you get your BI/Passport in Lisbon and the place where you choose to live thats where you will have to surender your Indian PASSPORT and the Indian Embassy. Off course you loose your voting rights you cant hold a government Job and you cant posess agricultural land.
