Slow case movement
I have heard from a reliable source that from 2016 onwards pre 61 cases are moving extremely slow and if more doc are asked it will be even slower....with all papers correct it takes almost 24 months and if addditional docs are submitted the case goes in a diff queue..which may take another year or so.

Sometime back around June/July this year i had posted on this forum that MEA is not attesting Church documents, but attesting temple documents. I received a lot of backlash for creating religious disharmony and unnecessarily targeting the government by making up my own stories. That was my story because i went through that ordeal and that's why i posted it here. I am married to a Hindu Goan and my husband's mother's temple documents were promptly attested by the MEA in a week's time but my father's church documents are still not done. I'm now trying some other way to get my documents attested.

This forum is very useful, but sometimes the language used is so strong and hurtful. I am glad that through this forum i came across genuine people like Shayne who i approached to do my Birth Certificate and who also was extremely helpful. And i went through him because i was having a lot of issues in the BMC and they were just not ready to listen to me. Shyane now no longer posts on this group because of the strong language that people use here. We are loosing out on genuine people who can actually help.

To all the genuine people,
Please continue your generosity. Thanks to all of you and the advice and posts here because of which i was able to successfully submit my mother in law's registration papers directly to the CRC in Lisbon via a trusted agent in July 2018. it's now a patient waiting game for us and I'm hoping all the papers go through quickly. I request you all to please ignore the backlash. i know it can be extremely hurtful, but there are a lot of genuine people who look up to this forum for help. Please provide your valuable answers to genuine queries. Please ignore the hurtful overtures, these kind of "Drag Queens" even exist in our families and we ignore them so pls ignore them and continue giving your valuable advice. May God bless you for investing your time and effort in helping others in this group.

Thank you.
Layla.

We have spoken about this issue many times and you know that there are no time frames given as no one knows how long it can take, also there are no surity that your case will be successful so its a gamble.

Any one experienced this before my concern is not outcome but my concern is time period he is not giving estimate time but he said its gona be done much shorter timr then the verification process.

The number of days to get appointment at Portuguese consulate is increasing month by months. No wonder I wont be surprised to see a 6 months period preety soon just to deliver a nationality process to the consulate.

BEC was considered a boon because ealier there was no arrangement like this. Later many realised that it cannot be uploaded online. Uploaded documents have now assumed greater significance in the light of unnecessarily created hurdles by MEA. Infact, process completion is guarrented 80 percent.
