Good Day!
Me and my Polish BF (working in UK) are planning to get married March 2017. I already called our local municipality for the requirements for a marriage license. One of which is the Certificate of Legal Capacity to Marry with the DFA Authentication (Red Ribbon).
Since the Honorary Consulate of Poland in Manila does not issue such document my BF will go to Poland to get it there. I sent an email to the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw and was informed that they need to authenticate the document first (with the English Translation).
Is this the correct process? Or is there anything else that I missed? Is there another way to secure the Legal Capacity Certificate?
Good day. May I ask if you can provide a legal capacity certificate now?My fiance (a polish)and I will get married in civil very soon his coming this November. We would like to know if you are now providing legal capacity certificate for polish nationals wants to marry in Philippines. Please I really need to know. Your response is highly appreciated. Feel free to email me at cj.santos08@yahoo.com. Thank you.

Hi. I have polish boyfriend and we have plan to get married here in Philippines I just want to ask about the process and requirements? Thank you.
In order to answer questions often asked on this forum, I provide some details.
Please note that a civil ceremony is required before a church ceremony takes place
More details are listed below:
Requirements for the non Polish citizen - Civil ceremony
# Birth certificate - original document and Polish transalation
# A document confirming the capacity to be married and its Polish translation
# Certificate indicating your place of residence and its Polish translation
# A valid pasport
Presence of a translator during both ceremonies is required.
I do not make comments about requirements related to a Polish citizen
Non Polish citizen- Church ceremony
# Baptism certificate
# Certificate of Confirmation - very important
# Certificate of completing of a pre- marital course
# Valid passport
# Details of Best Man and Maid of Honour
Presence of a transalator
In order to avoid possible problems, I strongly suggest to submit documents for Civil ceremomy well in advance via Polish embassy in Kuala Lumpur and request a confirmation that everything is in a good order.
You certainly do not want your ceremony to be spoiled by some beaurocrates from a Civil Office!
Please read my earlier messages.
They contain replies to questions very similar to yours.
There is no Polish Embassy in the Philippines.
The nearest one is in Kuala Lumpur, Malasia.
I suggest to contact them directly via e-mail and ask relevant questions.
Let me know if they failed to reply to your messages or indeed their answer was not satisfactory.
I have provided their website address in my earlier postings.
