Poor representation of the filipino public servant Washington D.C. Embassy
I can't get anyone to: respond to my emails, respond to registered letters regarding status of my wife's passport for a name change. My friend went through the same lack of service for the same issue with his wife's passport. How can any questions be answered through voice mail? You are an extension of the Philippine Government. If this is how you treat your own people, your Embassy needs to do some serious "house cleaning". I notice filipinos are rudest to their own kind. How embarrassing!! Your staff makes filipinos embarrassed to admit their nationality. This "lack of service" makes it difficult for filipinos to visit their own country.

Public Service
The embassy/consular office in washinton DC is just like some of the government agency back home. requirements listed on the website is only a macro requirements when you visit the consular office you would be surprised there are other minor requirements. Worst even a smile was denied to us.What kind of government employees are these people. They are acting like the govcernment itself.

Government office with answering machine phone?
The first major I encountered in that Philippine embassy is Phone. We all know the uses of phone especially for the government office .Please answer directly to the call because all of us are working during day time and we should all know that there are infos online which needed to confirm through call. The problem is they ( employees in Philippine embassy ) are very smart not to answer the questions because of thes reasons I heard " you can read that online ma'am and hang the phone!
