Inquiry on transporting motorcycle from Cotonou, Benin to the Philippines
To Whom It May Concern,
Greetings!
I am a Filipino inquiring about the requirements of transfer of a motorcycle from Cotonou, Benin to the Philippines. I was looking for a motorcycle on line and found one that I like being sold by a certain Christian Buan residing at Cotonou, Benin. We agreed for the price pf the bike and how to lawfully transfer the documents of the motorcycle from Cotonouo to the Philippines. He agreed to pay for the shipment of the motorcycle and entrusted it to a cargo transport company (AEOR CARGO TRANSPORT) to process the papers of the motorcycle and have it shipped to the Philippines. Mr Buat already paid for the shipment of the motorcycle by air and we agreed that I will pay for the documentation and processing fee to have the motorcycle legally transferred to my name. I paid for the documentation and processing fee amounting to Php 10,000.00 (including sending cost) to a certain WILFRID DEGILA the finance officer of the above mentioned air transport company. After paying they told me that they have already processed the documents of the motorcycle (2008 kawasaki klr 650) and that the embassy is requiring me to send the payment for the motorcycle as proof that I own the motorcycle. I would like to clarify if this is really the requirement since sending the payment would be risky. I've asked the company to send me actual photos of the motorcycle as proof that it really does exist and that I will not be a victim of a fraud or scam. To no avail the company manager said it is against their policy to do such. This had me worried since it is a very simple request but they cannot provide me with what I demand to them. They have also called me on my mobile phone giving me instructions and asking me to send the money since the embassy requires such proof that the motorcycle is really mine.

Please help me because I just want to make sure and not to be a victim of a scam or fraud.
1. Does the embassy really requires the payment to be sent (proof will be in a scanned form of the payment sheet from Western Union Money transfer)?
2. Does the air cargo company really exist?
3. What are the policies of transporting such to the Philippines?

My email address is eamante03@yahoo.com
Hope to hear from your good office to clarify my inquiries.

Thank you and Good day.

Best Regards,
Erwin Amante
