Circumcision of our hearts is needed not just the physical one!
I believe it has to do with the problem of corrupted hearts. We as a nation need the circumcision of our hearts! We often blame USA & the West for any & everything wrong thing in Pakistan & in the world but look what we do to eachother! We must learn to respect and value each other as humanbeings. Most of us have come here as economic migrants. May be some of us should offer ourselves as volunteers to see what we can pay back & improve here at least for our own sake if not for our reputation internationally!
Bless You all

arrogant officials
What can I say about the officials running the Pakistan Consulate offices in Birmingham UK.
They are arrogant, look down on people as they own the place,
Disrespectful.
Total chaos in the way the consulate is run, they should have general enquiry office to help people fill their very difficult and confusing forms in

Preparations
Visits and dealings with the Pakistan Consulates is good training before you go to the country. You can begin to acclimatise here in the UK.
Which other countries would do that for you?

When will we ever change
Looking at all of these comments, it's saddening really. Unfortunately most of it is true really. I'm talking about the consulate in Birmingham. There's no system in place. Yes, the staff are rude, arrogant, disrespectful etc etc. maybe some of the issues have got to do with our behaviour as well. When you enter that building, it's as if your in Pakistan in one of the govt offices there. The staff are all those things mentioned BUT the people start to behave as if there in Pakistan as well. Some of them have no respect for queues as well. And I don't just mean the older Uncles either. The younger guys and I mean guys between the ages of 20 to 45/50 are the same. All trying to get their business done no matter how. If it means pushing in or jumping the queue so be it. Some people don't actually have all the documents or meet all the criteria but they want to have their thing done. Of course that's not taking away from the fact that the people in the consul don't make it any easy for us in the first place. i.e. You have to think of all the questions to ask regarding your application. If you've forgotten to ask and at the time processing if there one thing missing, it's your fault. I don't know why they withhold this kind of information or it maybe that they need to make things a lot more easier and clearer with the different services they provide. We've all been there where you go there thinking you've got everything needed but your told this is missing or that's not right. This kind of thing has happened to many many people and it's something that can be easily sorted out by correct organisation and being professional. There's no literature at all about the different services that they do and what's required in different scenarios. If you were to apply for british passport here it's a walk in the park compared to the experience at the Pakistan consul.

system
They should organise it well then people will stop saying bad things about them. It is rediculous as i went ystrdai and people waiting in a que outside the building . This is even when it rains . No ehsaas that there are eldery people outside standing in the cold . Disabled people and peoe with other illnesses. Where are their rights. U cant say we public have abused this system because i have seen this bismillah building when i was young came with my dad i was 7 - 8 yrs old and now im 34 yrs old & this place is still the same system is the same. They just dont have manners and unorganised people. They should sort this system out.
