Goodday,i m writing with regards to my experience with my Embassy(Nigerian Embassy)here in Switzerland.My e-passport got expired some few months ago.i had called the Embassy hopefully on the procedure for possible renewal.i was shocked on the reply i got.The Lady on receiving end of the telephone told me that passport renewal was not possible because they dont ve the machine it need to do that.She said i should go to other countary where there is this mechine.Then i asked her whose duty or responsibility it was for the renewal of passport.Then she said sorry but i really ve to do what she said or still travel down to Nigeria for that.It was just a dissappointing Moment for me.We ve Nigerian Embassy here in Switzerland but i ve to go to other Country or Nigeria to renew my expired passport.
I wouldnt know,maybe ur good Office can help me with this questions.(1)Is the Embassy meant to function like that or is it because it is Nigerian Embassy?(2)Is it an obvious state of malfunction of duty?Thank You!
