Comments on this Consulate-General
It appears the functions of Nigerians in the Atlanta Office is misguided and does foster unwarranted expenses by Nigerians trying is obtain new or renew their passports or obtain viable information. Processing and receiving one's passport, some thing simple to do becomes a nightmere. The inefficiency, ineffectiveness, and inapts that are prevalent in Nigeria is now order of the day in the Consulate General's Office in Atlanta. May be this comments are not been read by the so called Nigerian Officials. As Nigerian, I'm urging concerned Nigerian Citizens to wake up and begin to organize legal and peaceful protests or demonstrations against (1) recall of the ineffective consulate general (2) revamp the personnel (3)against wasteful expenses by Nigerians( paying Global) an unknown company handling payments. We do not know the connection of this company to whom, inefficient processes at the office (4) against corruptions and frudalent emails and phone calls to unsuspecting victims by unknown crooks.
Nigeria, once a giant country but not nation (see the definition of nation or what the word "nation" really means. Every one for the good of the nation not individual greeds. USA by definition is a nation. We in America must lead the way for a reform and revolution. The council on issues formed by the president saids " corruption is the single most pressing problem in Nigeria or with Nigerians and would lead to a revolution." I hope the president understands this and not assume is a white wash. Enough with these scandals. To mobilize we need a base and coordination and not on this commentary forum. My email address is philcom12@gmail.com We have the internet to network. The source power to network for change is now and it the internet. People back home will caught up with our progression. It has to start because our home land is in the "dark". People in other countries have done so for the betterment of their people while not Nigerians for Nigeria that supposely is the continent's most recognize and populous country in Africa, in deed most learned individuals per population density in Africa. See my email address and let us talk for our children, mothers, fathers, and the like.
Will they let u enter Nigeria wilth the old passport that has not expired
It is absolutely unacceptable that calls to Nigerian Embassy/consulates are never answered.
Question: What exactly do you that you never answer calls, and never return calls? You are not representing your citizens well.
Remember that you are here to work for us and not the other way round. I recommend that you get OFF YOUR ASSES AND DO SOME WORK instead of just collecting hefty salaries and not producing. You are a disgrace to the nation as a whole. Actually, you are not worthy of the opportunity to serve us. Enough said.
Sincerely,
Concerned Citizen.

I LOST MY PASSPORT AND VISA IN A FIRE YEARS AGO. I NEED TO REPLACE THEM. I AM A NIGERIAN CITIZEN LIVING IN UTAH. IS THERE A PLACE IN UTAH I CAN GET NEW NIGERIAN PASSPORT AND VISA WITHOUT GOING TO ATLANTA OR NEW YORK. THANKS
How do I obtain a permenet visa for Nigeria? I am married to a Nigerian man. Plus I have citizenship in Nigeria. Can you pls help?
I am going to be working in Nigeria off the Nigerian Coast, I need to get a visa for my work.
I live in Houston, Tx. and was wondering if there was a consulate available to use closer than the one in Atlanta.
I was also wondering if there is not one, if I might be able to accomplish all that needs to be done by email or by mail.
Thanks.
Sir,
I need to do my papers and that of my daughters,I have not been to Atlanta by road before from Raleigh NC , so I will like to have a map direction about the highway to follow and make the journey easy.
I understand that the embassy is not the one responsible for the digital passport .A subcontractor is responsible for all passport photographs. On the other hand the consulate is warning people not to do any passport business with another party.I am confused.
Dear Sir/Ma,
I am a Nigerian, I am married to a black American, a Preacher and would want a certification on my Nigerian birth certificate.
My husband is stationed in Ft. Bragg, as spouse of a US army I need to present the apostille on my birth certificate by the consulate before I can obtain my miltary ID card. Please let me know that the Consulate General will certify my Nigerian (foreign) documents.
Nigeria has not ratified the Haque Apostille Convention, reason why the US Army will not recognise my birth certificate unless certified by the Consular General here in Atlanta.
Yours faithfully,
Osuobeni Dabibiere Doris,
now Dabibiere Doris Nelson.
