Phoning the consulate in Calgary gets you nowhere. They say to go on internet. This is typical government site. Very confusing. Persevere and you will succeed once you find info in English. This took many hours for me. Once we booked our appointment, on line, and went to consulate they were very helpful and understanding. Make sure you take every piece of financial info you have, both original and a copy. Now we are off to Mexico where we will need all info required in Calgary. Hope all goes well there.

How long is the total process? My passport doesnt expire unitl 2018, but for immigration reasons I wish to renew my passport now.
