Hi Dr. Jeffrey Cheah. I'm an Iranian and read your comment. I'm really sorry that airport security behave like that with you & your friends. I apologize you as an Iranian. But your judgment is not correct at all. I stay in Malaysia for 1.5 years and I saw how Malaysian people rudely behave with foreigners either in the airport or outside the airport. Please do not say: Iranians and every foreign visitors from all over the world to Malaysia is our valuable guests and we welcome you with open arms and a smile! Even if this sentence is correct, still should be saying by foreigners not a Malaysian.
Thank you

sir
im a pakistani doctor working in ministry of health malaysia. my wife and 2 kids are iranian nationals, living in hamedan iran. i have married legally 22 years ago .since than i have been travelling to iran at least once a year to support finacially and morally my sick wife and kids . now after the change of council staff and new place with rush of the applicants in visa council i have been suffering problem to get a visa. last week my wife,s health condition detreriorated and asked to visit iran immediately.i contacted iranian visa council for a visit visa for 2 wks. unfortunately councillar refused to issue a visa and instead advised me to arrange a visa from ministry of forign affairs iran which is not possible for my ill wife and small kids living miles away from tehran and no other person in family to help.
sir im deeply saddened and want to ask u following questions.
since im a muslim and high respect for iranian islamic revolution.
1) does it is in accordance with spirit and values of islamic system to prevent a person to join the family in times of need?
2) does it conforms with human values?
3) is it poossible for my sick wife to arrange a visa for me from iran?
4)i have been travelling to iran for the last 22 years do i create any problem any time?do i pose any threat to iranian security?
5)am i a terrorist?prolitician? smuggler? suspiciuos person?
if not why i should go though all this mental torture to get a visit visa just to see my wife and kids once in a year?

Hi, I do bought my return air ticket to Tehran on next year May. Now I would like to know how long it will take to apply a Iran tourism visa , what is the documents needed for and how much ?
Please email the detail to my mailbox : kellythwoo@gmail.com
Thanks .
Best Regards.
may i know for malaysian going for holiday is it need a visa?
In July this year, I went to Tehran for the first time under the invitation of Tehran Municipality. It was purely business visit and upon arrival at Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport, I was queuing up at the Immigration counter anticipating that everything was ok. When I produced my passport to the officer I was told to hand over my passport to another senior officer waiting at the far end of another counter. No reason was given but I adhere to the instruction. When I handed the passport to the officer he rudely told me to wait at one corner together with 4 Malaysians ,3 Arabs and 1 Singaporean. Due to my first visit and the long haul I kept quiet and I asked around what is happening. None has any idea what was going on. After 30 minutes , I have to asked the officer why we are put to wait but was rudely replied to kept quiet and continue waiting.
After almost 1 hour where all the immigration counters were empty, this senior officer shouted from one end and instructed us to see him. Then we were asked to walked out of the immigration counter where we came in earlier and wait.
We were so tired and worried of what is going to happen to us. One by one was called into a room in a very rude manner in Persian (don't know what the heck he was talking about). Inside the room , the officer instructed us to do finger printing procedure. After finishing all the 8 of us, he then returned our passports and walked away.
This entire process was a nightmare to me and I was being treated like an illegal immigrant. Is this the way your country welcome foreign guests? Is the way your country grant us visitor's pass or visa by making us wait for no apparent reason ? Iranians and every foreign visitors from all over the world to Malaysia is our valuable guests and we welcome you with open arms and a smile ! I am an investor and I have confirmed investing large sum of money to your country but this sort of treatment is totally discouraging investors and tourists away from visiting Iran. I have make official report to my Ambassador in Iran and I have also shared this experience with my Iranian friends.
Like the saying, the first trip to a country normally gave you "interesting" first impression, either bad or good.
Thank you
Dr.Jeffrey Cheah
