We are Sri Lankan Nationals who are residing in Saudi Arabia on Saudi
Arabian Resident Visa (Iqama). I'm employed in a Bank in Saudi Arabia.
My family and I, we wish to travel to France (Paris) in late May 2013 for
One week and we would greatly appreciate if you could kindly help us to
clarify the following documentation requirements.
a) Employment letter:
I will be supporting my family during the tour. As such, should I produce
only the employment letter (indicating my salary as well) or does the Visa
office require bank statments as well.
b) Health Insurance for at least 60 days:
My family is presently covered by the health insurance scheme provided by
my employer. This scheme is automatically renewed every year, before its
expiry on 30th of June. Kindly clarify whether this health insurance
coverage (to be expired on 30.06.2013) is acceptable for visa purposes, as
we intend to stay in France only for One week, and we plan to return from
France during early June.
please reply for this as we r sending e mails and trying to contact the visa facilitating office for last few days and none of them is replying or answering

Résident a de Djeddah pour juste pose les documents demandée, qui sont complété, pour demanda la nationalité a ma femme au bureau de madame Katia melieng, ma dit que elle ne peut pas prendre notre dossier avons trio mois minimum et nous qui a soufre parce que ma femme que elle a le passeport syrien pour obtenir les papiers demande pour sa elle prit de risque sous les bombardements en Syrie et dépensai de la argent aussi pou les prendre et j ai était très contant de rentrai
A notre ambassade hier pour parlai avec madame Katia
elle ma expliquez que comment je prépare les papiers sans passes chez elle ,par contre je suis passé avons huit mois chez elle avec ma femme et elle nous a dit de obtenir la certificat de la longe française et ma femme en France a déjà passe le test et elle a pris cette certificat, en plus toute les papiers en peu les voir sur la page de consulat français de-Djeddah sur site internet elle ma dit hier que elle est seul et ma fait regardez que c est affiche sur sa port plusieurs responsabilité pas seulement la nationalité et elle peut pas nous prendre avons trio mois par contre tout mes papiers vont être exprime pas dans le tempe de acceptante de trio mois
Merci monsieur le consul de me conseillez de quoi faire je suis très fatiguée, je veux juste pose mon documents et prendra un numéro pour les suive après

I tried to call French Consulate Jeddah for getting the requirements for renewing French Passport. But the Person attended the phone was ill mannered and unhelpful at all. His slang looks like an Egyptian (may be)
Also i tried to surf your web pages for the requirements for renewing French Passport, I am unable to locate any.

Documents to be provided by all visa applicants
1. Visa Application Form correctly filled in English and signed.
2. One recent passport-sized photograph with a white background

, not stapled. Full face; no
head or face cover(s) that prevent(s) full visibility of the facial features.
3. Original passport valid for further three months period after the intended departure from the
territory of the Schengen States and 1 copy of all relevant passport pages (data page, pages
containing previous Schengen visas). It shall contain at least two blank pages and have been
issued within the previous 10 years.
4. Proof of travel medical insurance covering the entire period of intended stay, valid for all
Schengen States and covering any expenses which might arise in connection with repatriation
for medical reasons, urgent medical attention, emergency hospital treatment or death during
stay. The minimum coverage must be 30.000 Euros. Original and 1 copy thereof. For further
details please refer to the Travel Medical Insurance Information document published by the
Embassies of the Schengen Member States in Saudi Arabia.
5. Copy of flight ticket or flight reservation including return flight.
6. Verifiable evidence of sufficient means of subsistence during intended stay such as a credit
card valid throughout the intended stay.
7. For minors travelling without their parents/legal guardian: original authorisation signed by
their parents/legal guardian and copy of passport(s) of parents/legal guardian.
Additionally, for Non-Saudi Nationals
8. Iqama and 1 copy thereof.
9. Saudi Arabian re-entry visa valid beyond the intended date of departure from the territory of
the Schengen States and 1 copy thereof.
10. Bank statements for the past six months or other verifiable evidence of sufficient means of
subsistence during intended stay.
11. Original letter from sponsor in Saudi Arabia, stating employment status, position, length of
contract and salary, stamped by the Chamber of Commerce. Self-sponsored: valid original
trade licence and 1 copy thereof with translation

My children are studying in USA and holding Green Cards. They came here to spend some time on new year they are going back to USA. Their flight from Jeddah Paris then Chicago. Lufthansa said you can not touch 2 ports in europe with Green Card. What a non-sense and lame excuse.. Now I wanted to take French transit visa for them. They ask you bring the application forms before 12:00 noon. If we don't get the visa today then I don't know we would lose today's flight.If Mr. Issa Maraut can help us? My son is there in French counsulate.
