CANADIAN POLICIES AND IMMIGRATION's LAW CONTINUE
ADVANCING FORWARD:The TFWP has been a controversial program due to the abuse of the system by employers. There is a need for temporary labour in the Canadian workforce. The TFWP is therefore currently under review and changes to reform in the system to protect migrant workers and Canadian workers alike from abuse are underway. The government has identified temporary foreign workers as individuals who have already integrated into Canadian Society, who often fill a permanent labour nef and who have established roots in their adopted communities.Futhermore, there are currently many barriers in place that prevents temporary foreign workers from transitioning to permanent residence.
