I need to speak with someone at the High Commission regarding an application but all I can get is a recording. It is time sensitive for info they have requested and I need to speak to someone directly to understand what is needed. Is there a number that I can speak to an actual agent?
Hello. I tried applying for a visa a couple years ago to attend school in Canada. I got turned downsaying iI was too young and wouldn't return if granted the visa. Now I just simply want to go on vacation. Do I need an invitation letter still?. And what ate my requirements?
I'm a single parent of one child, her dad doesn't keep in contact with her after I took him to court for lack of child's maintenance,he works on a ship on call every six months,do I still need his approval to take my baby on vacation with me?,I have no contact number for him what so ever
Hello I'm a Canadian citizen who has a 7 years old son with a Jamaican citizen who lived in Canada fir most of his life but ended up in some trouble with the law and got deported in 2012. I keep in close contact with my Ex and haven't been able to get in contact with him for nearly7 months. I've had a very bad feeling that something may be wrong and do not know of anyone in Jamaica I could call to see that he is okay. I am only the mother of his child and not too sure. If they'd release that kind of information. so what I'm wondering is how I could go about finding out if he is dead or alive because it's really unlike him to not contact me for 7 months. Please get back to me ASAP with any suggestions as I'm worried sick.!
Hi, Rosie:
It seems your post has been up for quite some time so hopefully things have worked out for you. I can imagine how difficult it must be to live where you're not comfortable. Have you considered staying in Jamaica, but living in a different household (just you, hubby and children) ? Part of the issue lies in you all not having your own space, Your boys can only return to Canada with you if your husband consents to it ....as you would need written parental consent in order to travel. You're in a tough spot and I feel for you. One thing I know is many times people aren't aware of the mindset they are in until they experience a different way of living; If possible take a break away from JA with hubby for a bit (just the two of you) ; there are many countries and small islands Jamaicans can travel without a visa (Only passport is needed). The trip away may help hubby to realize it really is the best thing for everyone to leave his mother's home and live elsewhere. I hope things work out for you. I feel for you.

Good night, I am just wondering of anyone has had any luck getting threw either for a visitor visa or threw sponsorship?
When applying for the visa it states that i must show vank statements etc. What if the applicant is unemployed and their father is in canada and he us paying the plane fare etc. How i go about that?
I am sponsoring my spouse to come to Canada from Jamaica. Its almost a year and I heard from the Canadian side approving my sponsorship but no word from the Jamaica side and no clue as to how long more I have to wait. Wish CHC Kingston could be more specific on wait times. Very frustrating.
