Red Tape nightmare
As this is written (March 11, 2015) my Thai partner and I are almost ready to give up her application for a temporary resident visa to Canada. She has received four such visas in the past five years and has alway returned well in advance of the expiration dates. Hers is a no-risk application.
Wunnapa Rakpra is a retired shopkeeper who has family(two children, three grandchildren, six brothers and sisters)and personal(nice country home, late model automobile, a network of close friends)ties to Thailand so strong as to guarantee her return. Thailand is her home. Canadais my home. We share these homes. This will not change.
The visa section of the Canadian embassy in Bangkok has every document it requires to grant this visa. The last of many delays is a request for information and documentation that is already contained in the application package it has had--but obviously has not carefully read--for several weeks.
Meanwhile time is running out for us to make travel arrangements to attend a family function in Canada.
Unbelievably, the immigration section of the Canadian Embassy will not accept phone calls.
Canada deserves a more efficient and communicative visa-processing operation than this. Yes, we need effective immigration laws and enforcement, especially these days. But we do not need a system that is unjust, thoughtless and unresponsive.
I have been a Canadian citizen (journalist, public servant and academic) and substantial taxpayer for 78 years. I would never condone defiance of any laws and Ms. Rakpra would never do so.
We deserve fairer treatment than this.

Medical Form to complete for Supervisa for parent
29Sep14.....My wife is from Thailand and presently living in Canada as a Permanent Resident for the past 4 years.
She is in the process of applying for her mother to visit by using the ' Supervisa '. We contacted the approved medical offices ( as per Immigration Canada ) and were told that we MUST obtain a form for her mother to complete ' before ' she goes to the Medical office.
We have searched throughout CIC 's website for this form but cannot find it anywhere.
Please help us obtain this form.

Thank You
