I have been cheated in 2014.
Same has happened with me..they had showed me canadian work permit on my passport and they kept my passport in their custody..i had to pay 10 lakhs..as i paid..on the very next week i got my passport and mumbai air ticket on reception without canadian visa stamp.
Agent's name is paresh. He is punjabi. And he pretends to be very nice and he says he has a wife in sweden and they both are scammers..please do not go for work permit coz canada work permits are not available anymore.

Work Visa to Canada from Bangkok, Thailand - A BIG SCAM
If you're an Indian and have been offered a work visa to Canada and the visa will be processed in Thailand.. don't ever believe it. It's a big FRAUD. Here’s the scenario:
The agents (their names are Ram Dhata and Amit Singh from Gurgaon) to make it more convincing will make a deal that you would only pay once your work visa is stamped in your passport. As you came to Thailand as tourist, the agents will first ask you to pay like $500 for converting your tourist visa to working visa so they can apply for you a canadian work visa. After few days, they will show your passport with Canadian work visa. To look more credible, they will even bring the detector machine to show that the visa is genuine and then they’ll ask you to sign the job contract (they used Symphony Senior Living Home Care). As agreed, you need to pay the huge full amount then. If you ask questions, they would just simply tell you not to worry for they have strong connections in the immigrations and the employer will be waiting in the airport. The passport will still be in their custody. Next thing is, they’ll ask you to pay for your airfare to Canada which cost more than 40K bahts. Upon paying everything, the next day you’ll get your passport in the hotel reception without Visa. You won’t be able to contact the agents anymore. You'll then come to realized that you're a victim of this BIG SCAM.
