English Language Test - Level A1
Anyone know where in Kampala to get this test?
Not a course, but just the test.

My fiancee is hoping to join me early next year in the UK, but she is now required to take an English Language Test approved by the UK Border Agency.

On their site it says, "In the test, you will need to demonstrate a basic command of English (speaking and listening) at level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference. Someone assessed at level A1 can understand and use simple, everyday expressions and very basic phrases. You will not need to demonstrate your reading and writing skills."
I did find that the British Council offer an IELTS test but, even the General and not the Academic test is extremely advanced and requires much in the way of reading comprehension and analytical thinking.
I'm certain that my fiancee would pass with flying colours with her excellent conversational abilities but she would likely do poorly in the reading/comprehension and her test result will unfairly reflect that. This is why I'm desperately trying to find somewhere else in Kampala where she can sit a test which will verify she is up to the A1 level of which she will have no trouble whatsoever in passing.

Thanks so much for your valuable help. If you don't know anywhere in Kampala, can you suggest someone else I might contact?

Surrendering Citizen Ship
British Passport no D840727 was issued to Shantaben Mehta on 11th October1967.
She came to Kampala, Uganda with her three children end of 1947 with her Indian passport.
To get the above passport she must have given up her Indian citizenship might be the Indian passport was surrendered or not returned back to her.
Is there any way to find out what happened to her Indian Passport and if it was surrendered then, is there anyway we can get a copy of that passport with the Passport number and the rest.of the pages.
Thank you and regards,

Anj

Visa Application exceeded my expectations
I traveled to the UK last November to attend my graduation ceremony (Chartered Institute of Marketing) and the whole visa application process was very smooth.
I submitted all requirements as directed & the visa qualification process was in time & exceeded my expectations.
The staff at the visa section (communication house - Kampala), are very helpful & professional.
I was very delighted.
