How long does it takes for South African passport?
I've applied long back in April.
They say its under process;no means to track the status.
if u have family friends they can ring up RSA toll free number and only know if its issue/reissued or not.
(0800 60 11 90 dial from south africa)
As per RSA embassy in USA and UAE they say officially it takes 4-6 months . People also claim they receive their renewed passport after 8-10 months after applying

I GOT VISA THIS MONTH BUT I WANNA KNOW ITS ORGINALITY DUE TO AVOID BOTHER SITUATION AT AIRPORT. BUT HOW COULD I CHECK
I am presently posted in United Nations. Please clarify whether my family (wife and kids) require to take visa or they are exempted as per south Africa Govt policy dt 15-04-2016(Refer para 8)regarding families of person serving with UN.They will be travelling for vacations for 14 days only.Also clarify do they have to get vaccinated for yellow fever as they will not be staying in YF infected country as there is only a stopover for 4 hours at the airport while travelling from India to J'burg.Regards
Please note that we have applied for Intra Company Visa for South Africa for one of our employee Mr. Subham Kumar having PASSPORT No. P3766626.
The application duly filled with all the required documents we have submitted to VFS Global on 10.04.2017 (Ref No. GURG/100417/0001/010029.
The receipt copy herewith attached for reference.
It’s almost four months now and he has not received the Visa . The online status of his Application No. GURG/100417/0001/01 still shows into attend the interview which Subham attended in June.
We were told in the embassy that you will give Visa in 7 days but it’s almost 1 month now.
Will you please looking to the matter and expedite the case as its already over delayed and works are suffering.
We will appreciate eagerly action and update from your side.
I have applied for South Africa VISA on 19-Jun-2017 and it is stuck for more than 6weeks now.
Based on query raised on 28th-Jun17, I have submitted my qualification degree document as well on 29th-Jun17 but as of now still the last status shows "applicant needs to submit proof of qualifications".
Please can you update the correct status on site so that I would able to understand the issue and fulfill as per requirement or let us know by when VISA will be processed?

I am not sure how momentum health will give you health insurance without examining you since you are in india
I think call your college and ask them if it is fine if you get international health insurance.
whether SA Embassy accepts international health insurance for study visa you can call vfs and confirm with them.

I'm in the process of applying study visa for 6months to do pilot training in jburg south Africa, college has told me that I need medical cover from a health insurance firm (momentum health)in south africa, but d problem is no bank transfer money to any health insurance company outside india,they r saying its according to govt. Rules,my question is how can I send money to d insurance company or can I take medical cover from india which is applicable in south Africa n does sothafrican embassy in india accepts medical cover ,because I have to show it in my file when applying for study visa

do business with them by supplying Chemicals.
