CONTACTING VFS OFFCIE IN MUMBAI AS WEWLL AS SOUTH AFRICAN CONSULATE ALWAYS VAIG REPLY WAS GIVEN THAT WILL CONSIDER FOR URGENCY THE VISA WAS NOT DELIVERED TILL 21 MARCH EVENING AND HENCD HE HAS TO CANCEL THE CONFERENCE AND PRESENTATION ON CANCER.AND SO AS TO WITHDRAW HIS PASSPORT AS HE HAS TO TRAVEL TO SOME OTHE COUNTRY IMMEDIATELY.
SAME PROCESS OF WITHDRAWL TOOK PLACE EVEN LAST YERA FOR SAME CONFERENCE AFTER WAITING FOR TWELVE DAYS.
I AM IN THE TRADE FOR MORE THAN THIRTY YEARS AND WOLD LIKE TO PROPOSE FOR IMPROVEMENT IN THE PROCESS AND CONSIDER CASE TO CASE

I applied for CSV on 20-Jan.
60 days are already over.. but from the discussions, it looks like it takes much more than that.
Can you help me with the following...
1) Do you think follow up with the embassy helps?
2) How do we get the passport back? We have to collect it from VFS or couriered to us via Bluedart?
3) Do they give any tentative timeline for grant, in case we call embassy? I am more worried as my passport is with them.
Have anyone applied VISA in Jan-2017 and received.I applied CSV on 24th Jan in India and still waiting for processing..
APPLIED FOR VISA IN 2015 AND AFTER WAITING FOR MORE THAN TWO WEEKS, HAD TO WITHDRAW THE PASSPORTS.
NOW APPLIED ON 8TH MARCH TO LEAVE FOR A VERY IMPORTANT CONFERENCE ON 19TH. TODAY IS 20TH AND SITTING HERE HELPLESS WITH NO PASSPORT/VISA. MANY MAILS/CALLS TO EMBASSY/VFS WERE OF NO USE AT ALL. ALL YOU GET IS AN AUTOMATIC MAIL! WILL SOMEONE EVER TAKE NOTE?? 3 YEARS GONE BY AND THINGS GONE FROM BAD TO WORSE

Hi all,
I applied for csv in d 1st week of december and received it today.
It was with a job offer and a reliving letter.
Apparently there was no one at work for over a month at the embassy during december, and they clearing the back log now.
Applied on 21st dec..
Csv visa recd today
