Hi All,
In my exeperience, I recived my csv after 3 months and a week, probably because they were on holiday for a month during Christmas.
Sending a letter or mail doesnt help. Approximate time is around 2.5 months if there are no holidays for the embassy.

Go to the embassy in the morning and talk to them.as long as you do nothing they do too.
Ps:don't call vfs nor mail them...waist of time
This is really the worse experience I have had.I am a South African citizen based in India. I applied for a renewal of my daughter and my passport on 23 November 2016. To this date, it is 4 months gone by, I have not had any response from the Mumbai office nor can I get in touch with anyone, no one takes the call.
I need to travel urgently and my daughter has to go abroad to study and we are now held up by this delay.If she does not get her passport soon, she has to wait a whole year to reapply. The Mumbai office is so inefficient with such important documents. I spent almost Rs40000 to fly and stay in Mumbai overnight just for this reason and all I get is an answering machine and no passport after 4 months. REALLY UNBELIEVABLE.
