Comments on this Consulate-General
A few weeks ago I needed to use the consulate services. Once there u just line up. No #`s needed. Once in front of the clerk, he/she greets u with"what you need? "in a grave and unfriendly expression.
I also was able to talk to them once by phone after several trials. It was a quick call because the clerk showed some irritation after I tried to clarify the information. Luckily I live in Toronto, If I cannot get an information by phone I can go there but losing a few hours of work. Good luck to you guys.
4.5 hours wait today to renew my passport and cartao de cicadao, only to be told passport renewals cannot be issued without a valid residence card, which means I need to return back there 2 weeks from now to pick it up and then I can renew my passport, followed by another trip to pick it up. Complete non sense. Number waiting system does not work, you are given a number and are called by name, it's a joke. And to think I have to do this again in 5 years!!! No way! Canadian Citizen ship my friends. Oh and not too mention staff is rude, like you are a bother if asking questions which they can easily answer by updating their website.

Second time going to the consulate and the system is down!!!!!Staff is extremely rude and don't care. They need to get their #$@! together!!!!

O que fazer para tirar, pois vivo a 300 KM de Toronto mas pretendo ir tratar deste documento e como tal dirigir-me ao Consulado para o efeito. Phones don't get picked up, email addresses don't work, website doesn't work. So here we gripe and no one at the joke of a consulate is even aware of our comments. I honestly don't know of a more pathetic public service.
Has anyone ever spoken to these people over the phone? i have tried forever and never get through ...
