The employer who keep the employee's passport
My employer has been keeping my passport and the worst is he will not give my salary for September... He said i can have it after i finished my contract. Who in the right mind would accept this situation? I asked him to give me my passport so I could go back to the Philippines but he said he wouldn't.
Can somebody care to give me some pieces of advice?

POLICE EXTORTION IN HO CHI MINH CITY
I can say that I had bad experience with the vietnamese citizens. They are so rude, no respect with foreigners. The DOJ of Vietnam asked the requirements like residence registration book ang rental contract to be provided by the lessor. They asked 1M VND for the registration. My friend said that it was free of charge but my landlady insists to collect money from me..And now, I was in the middle of processing my baby's birth certificate and on my way to the Philippine Consulate when the policemens stopped my motorbike..They're asking 1M VND again but I had no any money, I said that this is for the payment of my baby's requirements in the consul but they did not have mercy..Instead they collected 500VND or else they will impound my motorbike for 10dyas and They will charge me 1.5M VND they said..I was so helpless.I had no money left, my baby's budget for his milk was gone..I'm now obligue to breastfeed..I just got out from the hospital because I was confined, I was bleeding heavily because of giving birth..I had no way to turn to..No one could help..I really want to go home to the Philippines with my baby but the money they took from me, it was intended for the birth cert. And now, where can I find money, I just borrowed it from friends..I'm so helpless. Those fool vietnamese are really bitch!!I hate them, they're DEVIL!!!! Lalo na mga Pulis..Grabe ang Extortion nila..Humihingi pa ng Phil. peso or US dollar..grabe talaga!!Mukha silang pera!!! Iba pa rin ang Pinoy!!!!

INQUIRY ON MY BABY'S SURNAME FOR REGISTRATION
Mabuhay!!
Example po:
Married name ko po sa passport: ANGEL OCAMPO GOMEZ (GOMEZ po surname ng legal ex-husband ko)
Father of the baby (present) : REY PEREZ

Sana po matulungan nyo ako..Maraming salamat po....GOD Bless us all always!!!!

consolate office in Saigon badly needed
Filipinos in HCMC and nearby suborbs places badly in need of consolate office and a console who can help us in lost visa, safety and work concerned, such non-payment of filipino works, exploitation and the like....Hanoi is far for our immediate assistance and help.
Hoped the Phil. Gov't. can look into the needs of new Fil. Workers in Vietnam.

Closure of Consulate office at Saigon, Vietnam
With the closure of the Philippine Consulate at Saigon - created a big problem on all Filipinos in this area. To whom will the Filipinos seek urgent matters such as: snatched or lost passport, accident, employment problems, documentations and other important issues. The government should have anticipated all these issues prior to its closure. Existence of the Philippine Embassy in Hanoi which is about 2 hours flight away from Saigon won't be of help when urgent issues are needed most.

Thank you and hope this can be acted by the government the soonest.
