I hope the British Government is not wasting money trying the save the drugs smuggler, Lindsay Sandiford.
Are we supposed to feel sorry for her, she would have received a lot of money if she did not get caught. This was not her first smuggling trip she is even mentioned in the Book Snowing in Bali where she was selling drugs years ago.
Be good to look in her passport and she how many trips she made around Asia. She has lived in Asia for years with no job.
Drug money is good until you get caught but most of us have to work for a living.
The Indonesian Government should not waste years, execute them all now.
Worse still, I am a 23 year old girl, and the officers in the immigration office were all staring at me and joking about which one of them deserved to "have" me (as one of my friends translated for me). Making me feel very uncomfortable.
Hello, I have a tourist visa for Bali, as I am here on holiday for two weeks only.
A friend of mine is opening a restaurant in Sanur, the restaurant is not open yet as she is still getting all the interiors finished. She is also waiting to get her fingerprint taken next week so that the kita (?) is all finalised.
Today I was helping her by painting a small mural in her restaurant - this was for free, as I love painting, so really it's just a hobby.
The immigration officers turned up and demanded to see my passport. They drove me to pick up my passport and took me to the office and questioned me for six hours,
Apparently I broke the law by painting on a business property, despite it being free they still consider it to be work.
My flight home is tomorrow night, and they are holding my passport until (apparently) tomorrow... I'm worried they will try to get me to bribe them/fine me/ won't give it back for some other reason. Any advice on this?
I was very unaware of this crazy law and had I known I wasn't allowed to paint on a wall for a friend as a favour I wouldn't have done it.
This is very upsetting and stressful for me, and is the final straw. I will never return to Indonesia after I (hopefully) leave tomorrow.
Never.
My daughter is currently in Lombok, her visa has expired and she has lost her bank card - how do I get money to her? It is going up everyday and she has no available funds.
Does anyone know where this test can be taken in Bali? (to support a settlement visa)
Dear Sir/Madame
Just moved to Bali and realized my Passport Expires in March 2015. We will be here for the School Year and have to do my Qitas is there a way of having it renewed from here?
Is is possible for my son to have british pasport as he is a wedlock child , his father is british citizen and already passed away when he was 4 months old. Tried with Indonesia court to have his father stated is his birth certificate , it seem impossible as they asking some money and I already struggle with this case for almost 2,5 years. I had DNA test which is taken 4 days before my partner passed away in UK , and my son born in Indonesia. Any advice for this issue ? Thanks
I have tried to get through to the Bali Consulate but there is no telephone number for them. When I ring there is only recorded voice messages. This is really not helpful for what I want. I want to apply for a new UK passport as my pages have run out on my current passport.
My father Gerry Rose died on the island of Lombok in April 2008 and I registered the death at your consulate. Have you got a record of this?
