Lecture Tour
your excellency:
It is submitted that the undersigned plans to visit syria for lecture tour on mysticism with special reference to the life, philosophy and message of great mystic saint, poet and martyr Hussein Bin Mansoor Hallaj who was executed on the gibbet at Baghdad, 309 hijri under the orders of Abbaside Khalifa Muqtadar Billa for speaking very frankly about the love of Allah Almighty. The revolutionary and poetic thoughts of peace and love were not understood by the ruling regime. At gallipoly there is a place where Mansoor Hallaj had offered special prayers after his visit of Baitul Muqadas in Jerusalem at the conclusion of his second Hajj. The Photograph of that door of the praying place has been pasted in the book of world fame "Passion de Hallaj" in french by Monsieur Louisie Maissignon a great research scholar. The visit to syria shall be also leading the undersigned to visit the shrine of Ibn-e-Arbi, fakhrudin Iraqi and the mujahid of riff Algeria Abdul Qadir who is also burried in the same grave yard in Qirya saleha near mount Qasson near Damascus besides Shahab-ud-din Seharwardy the great sufi martyr and Ghazi salah-ud-din Ayubi shall also be the part of his tour itinerary. The lecture at Damascus and Allepo universities shall be rendered in english with question answere session as well. The writer has to his credit a translation of Deewan Hallaj in english as well and the international sufi forum and Mansoor Hallaj Foundation to which he is associated as chairman has already announced 2011 as the year of Mansoor Hallaj whose 1130 anniversary falls on 24th march every year.
