How important was the Defeat of the Spanish Armada? Invitation to Dinner and Lecture at The Briar Club Sept 27
The Houston Chapter of the English-Speaking Union of the United States invites interested parties to hear about the impact of the British defeat of the Spanish Armada, 1588, a well-planned invasion. Dr. Anthony Reso will propose that this major naval battle had a much greater impact on world history than has been previously appreciated. Learn about Sir Francis Drake and the privateers sanctioned by Queen Elizabeth I. Find out about what happened when the Duke of Parma learned that he could not defend his flotilla of landing barges containing 60,000 troops and supplies. You will want to hear this story! Place: The Briar Club. 6:30 drinks reception. 7:15 dinner and talk. Cost $50.00. Call Mary Koenig, ESU president for reservations: 713.667.9566

Profesores Visitantes 2012-2013
I have called several times and had no answer or response. I need to set up an appointment for a visa to work in Spain for a year. I was hired by the Spanish embassy and was told to set an appointment up in Houston. I am a participant of professores visitantes and will be leaving late August. How do I schedule an appointment in July?

Thank you,
Crystal Seward
