How do I book appointment to renew my portuguese passport at the London office.

I am living in UK and was to fly today to UAE for Christmas. Just when I was to leave for the airport, I realized that my passport and BI has been misplaced. What should I do to get a new passport at the earliest? Would Portuguese embassy in UK help? How long will an urgent passport request take to be issued? Thanks in advance for responding.
