Thanks. I’ve travelled to the US, UK and other parts of Europe for work multiple times so I know the UK isn’t the best country to live in. I also understand how the English actually think. This goes over the heads of many Goan and other immigrants who live in the UK since they are surrounded by either fellow immigrants or white liberals.

I’ve had conversations with English work colleagues over drinks where they openly complain about England being full of immigrants. They don’t explicitly say it, but you can understand that they feel England should belong to the English.

There is a significant percentage of the white English population who would kick George and the other Goans or Eastern Europeans out of the country if given the chance. He might not have interacted with them, since he spends his time in liberal cities like Liverpool, but they lots of voting power. An independent England could easily go from voting Conservative to Reform UK to Britain First. The non white immigrants in England would then be in for a rude shock

You don’t seemed to have lived outside the big cities which are liberal. London and Liverpool are Remain and Labour voting areas and the majority of Scousers are actually of Irish descent. Surnames beginning with Mc/Mac, O’, Ryan, Kelly, Murphy etc are Irish surnames and not English.

The Brexiteers and racist English types exist in the North of England. You won’t encounter them because they live in mostly all white areas, where landlords avoid renting to non whites. They will also avoid talking to you once they see your face.

But they have significant voting power. They are the main reason Brexit happened. Scotland currently alters the balance of power in the UK parliament. Should it leave, the Northerners will have even more power to elect whatever government they choose. You won’t understand this until a right wing government actually gets in (just like people thought Brexit would never happen)

There is no reason to choose the UK when countries like Ireland are more liberal. Ireland also has a higher per capita income than the UK. I’ve visited both the UK and Ireland and the Irish are much friendlier.

Also it’s nothing to do about if you’re an EU or not, when In England, be like English. Some immigrants try and display their ethics publicly if you know what I mean and that’s the thing they will hate. Even I hate that In Goa, Not speaking English fluently is one of them.

Whatever opinion one has, I have always found people welcoming and supportive here. Even when I used to live in private shared house In Liverpool to having my own house. Neighbours are English and they are lovely. Financially UK is the strongest economy in today’s date and my bank in Goa loves Pounds banging in

Chances are that you've experienced the more EU favouring side of the British population. The percentage of people who voted in brexit were likely to be more racist, so there definitely are chances that not everybody you meet would be "Racist" or rude towards you. It was a fifty two percent favour towards brexit as opposed to a forty eight percent in favour to the EU. Most of the British people I had met in my workplace were brexit supporters.

I agree with John completely. England is infact more racist than Scotland. I used to have a patient at my workplace in the hospital here in Goa, he was from Luton, England, and he seemed very much anti EU and loved brexit dearly. During his time, PM Teresa May was in power and he was very upset with how low she was bowing herself to the EU. With the SNP back in power, along with it's union to the Green party to have a majority in Scotland, the chances of a referendum have doubled.
